Not too loud , but we can HOLIDAYYYYYY!!!!!!

The date: 23rd June 2020. The time: 11.30am. The place: Peak Pharmacy Killamarsh.
I bet everyone in the country remembers all the details of when the news came through. Boris says we can go on holiday!! He also says we can go to the pub, have our hair cut, meet up with other families AT HOME, (no hugging), get married, move a metre forward, go ice skating, to the library, a museum, the bingo, a model village, the pictures, horse riding. But none of that really matters. I mean, who the hell wants to ride a horse or loom over a perfect model of a big wheel. But we all want/need a holiday. I bet my whoops could be heard from the newly built Gullivers Kingdom (opening 4th July) just down the road.

Me and the girls at work

Chris and Alex were pretty excited

Kathy and Vicky were ecstatic

And as for Ian.........

When I first booked the cottage, it was just Misty, Ian and I that were going. Kathy was soon all in, even though she will have to work. Vicky and Alex were still hoping for Japan, and Chris had an exotic holiday somewhere in the world in mind. But the plane to Japan was cancelled, and Chris realised he wouldn’t be able to go anywhere more exotic than Minehead this year, so it was soon a full house.

I decided (along with a prompt from Ian) to give the blog a famous fivey theme, hence the title(s), amd soon got to thinking who was who

Julian: The leader. Strong and intelligent. Saved many a life, including a small child from a Florida swimming pool

Dick: The joker of the pack. Likes a good pun, but still fit enough to chase the bad guys or run for help

Anne: The mother figure. Looks after everyone else. Organise things to within an inch of their life. Good at making sandwiches and packing ginger beer.

George: The tomboy. Carefree, careless, incredibly brave but scared of Cruella De-ville

 The fabulous Timmy the dog

Aunt Fanny and Uncle Quentin: Some of the brats parents. The incredibly beautiful, sporty and talented mum, and the strong, handsome, but always late Dad who can never find anything because he doesn't lift anything up.

We are hoping for a week of sun and fun. With loads of walks

Days by the sea

Barbecues

Games

And drinking

Of course, all of this depends on how well we all behave at the pub. On whether we all keep our distance while protesting, celebrating our teams titles, sunning ourselves and shopping. It might all go pear shaped if the virus comes back and we will all have to go back to being hermits and knitting in front of a box set. If we do, I will be soooooo disappointed, this will be the shortest blog in history, and we won’t be able to go to the beautiful looking St Pancras chapel

Five are together again

Actually, Five came together again in the St Pancras Chapel carpark before leaving in their separate cars! The sad day had come when the las...
